A native of Illinois,
Betty Grandy has called
South Carolina her home since 1976.
Now residing in Clemson, SC. Betty has made handmade pottery for the
surrounding area since 1982. After
studying at the Museum School of Art in Greenville, SC she continued her
education at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, TN.
Betty has been attending craft shows throughout North and South Carolina
for many years. She makes a variety of ceramic pottery on the pottery wheel, which is all lead
free, oven and dishwasher safe. In
1992 she added hand-crafted jewelry to her artistic pallet, using only the
highest quality of metals and gemstones to create her jewelry designs.
Now with the introduction of this website,
www.artisticdesignz.com, Betty will now be able to share her artistic designs with all of you.
She has moved into a new studio gallery where she can hold kiln opening sales and
studio tours to further educate others in the art of hand thrown pottery,
fused glass and
jewelry making.
Her son
T.J. has also picked up on the
artistic ways of his mother. He
adds creative and original works to the business by way of pottery, jewelry, as
well as custom picture frames, furniture, and the occasional sculpture.
Together this mother-son combination will be creating Artistic
Designs
for everyone to enjoy for years to come.
